MEET OUR SHUT INS VOLUME 1

FLU REPORT - CASES IN SAN LUIS: O

The last time we did our shut in ministry with a group, I felt overwhelmed by the needs that I saw. In my heart was a desire to do more. At around the same time, our director Harold McKamish had an answer to prayer in a family situation, and he asked God what He would want him to do. These two ideas met at our blog, and now Caring Hearts will be helping Ines and her shut ins in a greater way. In the next few days I want to present to you some of the folks we will be ministering to. Every other week, a local charity gives out food. Inez picks that food up and distributes it to the shut ins. We will be helping Inez meet the needs she has as well as adding to what is given to the people. These folks are the neediest of the needy, and it breaks our heart to see and know the conditions they are confronting. Please pray for this new ministry and ask God if He would want to participate through you with prayer or financial support.

Our first shut in is Hermina Salgado. Hermina is a grandmother who takes care of two of her grandchildren. Her son is in jail, and the mother abandoned the kids to her. One of the children, Jesus Emanuel, has severe cerebral palsey and is severely handicapped. Hermina lives in an old house on what folks like us help her with. Pray that God will give her strength to care for Jesus and her granddaughter.
